Connecting With People Can Be Funny #ConnectingFlights

This day and age the world of connecting with people is right at our finger tips. There are so many outlets available to each of us in order to communicate in our own way. Some boundless ways of getting involved with others is through text messaging, social networking sites, and blogging. Sears has produced a movie surrounded around blogging, which is one of the most popular forms of online communication. It allows you to connect with your viewers along with fellow bloggers allowing you to create your own network. Sears’ Connecting Flights, shows you that whether you are in the comfort of your own home or trying to catch a connecting flight, connecting with people is easy no matter where you are. And somehow you always leave the airport with a funny or wacky store to tell your family and friends when you get home.

Connecting With People

One of my most popular flight stories occurred just a couple of years ago. I was doing my annual trip home during Holiday Break in college. I had checked my bags, passed through security, grabbed a handful of magazines, and waited in my terminal for my flight to be called. An elderly woman was sitting next to me at the time and was reading the same trashy magazine that I was. “Good choice in reading”, the woman said to me. I exchanged eye contact and a glance down at what she was holding. We shared a good laugh and started gossiping about all the dirty details of hot celebs and underfed models. The longer talked and shared stories the more I learned about her entire family including one of her granddaughters, who she said I reminded her of. Her grandchild reads the same tacky magazine, which is a way for her to relate even with the generational gap. No matter where you are or what age you seem to be, there is always an amazing opportunity of connecting with people. It is just one “flight” away.
This is a sponsored post, I am a Sears blogger, though all opinions are my own.
